Per state regulations, riding the bus to Camp Ozark will look a little different this year. While state regulations do not require children 9 or under to wear face coverings, we strongly recommend all campers bring and wear face coverings (such as buffs or gaiters) and use them at appropriate times while at camp. All campers riding the bus to camp must wear a face mask for face covering (except while eating) and we ask only 1 parent and no non-camper siblings attend the bus departure location.
Any family members, parents, or guardians exhibiting the below mentioned symptoms are prohibited from attending the camper bus departure site.
-Fever of 100.4 or greater -Vomiting or diarrhea in the past 48 hours
-New cough – Body aches in the past 14 days
-Shortness of breath – Sore throat or chills
Check your dashboard for specific details on your bus location and departure time. Please follow the process outlined below upon arrival at your bus departure location. Here is a visual aid of the check-in process.
Campers of all ages are REQUIRED to wear a face covering throughout the entire bus ride for the health and safety of our campers and staff members. They will be permitted to remove their face covering in order to eat and drink. Please be sure your camper comes to the bus check-in with a face covering to put on upon boarding the bus.
Camp Ozark staff will direct you to luggage unloading areas. Campers and parents/guardians should remain in the car for luggage unloading by the Camp Ozark staff. Please be sure your luggage is organized in the back of your vehicle in manner that allows for efficient unloading and promotes continuous traffic flow. The camper should keep any items they would like to access in the bus with them (don’t forget face coverings). Be sure that ALL items going to camp are labeled with the camper’s first and last name.
After your luggage is unloaded, park your vehicle in the designated parking areas. Please avoid crowding the check-in area. Please be sure your camper comes to check-in with everything they plan to take on the bus with them.
Only 1 parent/guardian will be allowed to accompany the camper to the designated check-in area. Parents/guardians are required to wear a face covering throughout the check-in process. Camp Ozark will be using a contactless check-in process and arrival screening. Campers will receive their bus assignment along with a color coded band. At this time, you should turn in EpiPens, inhalers, and medicine prescribed within the last 7 days.
No adults will be allowed in the bus boarding area. Campers should remain physically distanced from adults that are not in their household prior to boarding. Campers will load the bus immediately after check in and sit on the bus with their designated color group. Please be sure your camper comes to check-in with everything they plan to take on the bus with them.
Check the Ozark Go App for travel updates. The race is on!
Your camper will be greeted by their counselor. Luggage will be sorted and delivered to their cabin. Counselors will help campers get settled into their cabin and accompany them to the swim test, make any morning activity schedule changes, and pick up any pre-orders from the Camp Ozark store.
