On Wednesday morning campers woke up to Christmas jingles as they headed to breakfast. Then after Team Competition and Chill Out, they were off to Morning Activities where they were focused on improving their skills in their favorite areas of camp.

As soon as the call for Stampede played over the speakers, campers raced down the hill for the Waterpark. 

Stampede is our campers’ favorite time of day. It is our structured free time where everything is open. Campers can choose to do whatever they want for as long as they want to do it! Campers can try an entirely new activity for the first time like Ropes Course or Horseback Riding, or they can continue on with a project in Woodshop or Pottery that was started during Morning Activities. 

For dinner, we enjoyed a family style Christmas dinner. As soon as we began to hear Jingle Bells again, campers headed out to our Christmas Special Event dressed in their fun and festive Christmas gear. We set the tone for the Christmas Lifeline with Christmas lights, trees, and carols. The message was all about why we celebrate Christmas and what Jesus’ birth really means to us. 

To end the night, campers headed back to their cabins for a Christmas devotional. It was a sweet day at Camp OTX!The Great Adventure keeps going…
