The theme of the day on Wednesday was Red, White, and Blue. The sun was shining, and campers were enjoying good ole fashion fun!
Both teams battled for the lead in Team Competition. Then, the campers rolled into Chill Out, a time to relax and grab a drink or snack from the store.
During Morning Activities, campers were busy working on their pottery and ceramic projects, finishing up their newly crafted rockets from Rocketry class, or making final design adjustments during T-Shirt Design. We know campers have learned a ton of new skills, improved on existing skills, and had a great time with new friends in the process!
After lunch and Rest Period, it was time for the best part of the day…STAMPEDE! As usual, the biggest attractions were the OTX Water Park, Water Slides, Ropes Course, Trail Rides, and our Crafts Center.
Campers headed to dinner for burgers, chips, baked beans, and watermelon, a great Fourth of July meal! Then we headed out to the fields for our Red, White, and Blue celebration. We played games on every field! Frisbee, wiffle ball, kickball, the legendary egg toss, sack races, fishing, canoeing and kayaking in the pond, tug-of-war, and more!
Next up was OTX Factor, our very own amazing talent showcase. OTX Factor featured some incredibly talented campers. It was a great show and definitely a night our campers will remember!
We wrapped up the night with the grand finale, a beautiful fireworks display! Red, White, and Blue filled the sky as we talked about freedom and what it means for our country and for each and every one of us.
Always good to end the day with gratitude.
