EACH SUMMER, CAMP OTX HIRES UP TO 5 COLLEGE-AGED VIDEOGRAPHERS TO SERVE AS MEMBERS OF THE CAMP OTX MEDIA TEAM. MEMBERS OF THE CAMP OTX MEDIA TEAM HAVE THE UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO USE THEIR CREATIVE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS TO SERVE THE OVERALL MISSION OF CAMP OTX.
The Camp OTX Video Team helps produce a wide variety of projects, including but not limited to:
- Short Daily Videos – shown most evenings to the campers just prior to their nightly worship service
- 20-minute Session Videos – shown at the end of each camp session
- A Banquet Video – shown at the end of the summer during the Summer Staff Banquet
- Website and marketing videos – for use both during the summer and after
All Videographers work under the direction of full-time Camp OTX staff and play a crucial role in the ministry, and outreach of Camp OTX. Camp OTX Videographers can expect to learn valuable lessons in project and media management, time management, and working with Adobe Premiere. In addition, at the conclusion of their employment, Videographers will have a variety of projects they can include in their portfolio or demo reel. If desired, Camp OTX can work with applicants and their school to satisfy internship or other school credit requirements. All necessary equipment and training is provided, although some experience with Adobe Premiere is preferred.
Finally, all members of the Camp OTX media team get to work in an exciting, kid-oriented Christian environment alongside other talented and passionate Christian college students. The hours are long and the work is challenging, but the job is very rewarding!
