EQUESTRIAN INTERN

OVERVIEW

Each summer, Camp OTX hires up to 10 college-aged individuals to serve as Wranglers, offering a unique opportunity to apply your horsemanship skills and strong work ethic in support of Camp OTX’s mission.

As a Wrangler, you’ll be responsible for the safe, efficient operation of the Camp OTX Barn, which houses approximately 25 horses used for Horsemanship classes and Trail Rides. Duties include caring for and feeding the horses, maintaining barn equipment and tack, teaching horsemanship classes, supervising trail rides through the scenic Texas Hill Country, and assisting campers during special events and free ride times.

This role provides hands-on experience in equine care, horsemanship instruction, teamwork, and barn management. Wranglers work closely with full-time Camp OTX staff and play a key role in delivering an unforgettable camp experience. Riding experience is required.

In addition to honing your horsemanship skills, you’ll be part of a fun, kid-focused Christian environment, working alongside passionate and driven college students. The work is challenging, but the rewards are immense—making a real difference while developing both personally and professionally!
