Each summer, Camp OTX selects 4 upper-level college students to serve as Health Center Interns on our Medical Team. Camp OTX’s Health Center operates with board physicians and nurses, providing high-quality care and ensuring the health and well-being of all our campers and campers throughout the summer. This unique opportunity allows you to gain hands-on experience in a Christian environment while growing both personally and professionally.
As a Health Center Intern, you will play an active role in supporting our Medical Team and ensuring the well-being of our campers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the administration and communication to promote health and wellness of campers and staff.
- Assisting with the management and organization of medical records to maintain accurate and up-to-date camper and staff health information.
- Shadowing and assisting in the response and treatment of various health needs under the supervision of board certified healthcare professionals.
- Supporting the daily operation of a professional healthcare environment within the camp setting.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to enhance your healthcare knowledge and skills, making it a valuable step forward in your educational and career journey. Camp OTX can and will collaborate with your academic institution to help you fulfill internship or academic credit requirements.
