Each summer, Camp OTX hires up to 5 college-aged nannies to care for the young children (infants to 6 years old) of permanent staff, who live at camp all season but are too young to participate as campers.
Nannies play a vital role by engaging these children in fun activities, integrating them into age-appropriate camp programs, as well as coordinating with families for schedules and needs.
This role provides valuable experience in childcare, close collaboration with parents, and developing interpersonal skills, all within a Christian camp environment. Nannies work under full-time camp staff and alongside other passionate college students. Necessary training is provided, with prior experience working with children preferred. Though the work is challenging, it’s incredibly rewarding and supports Camp OTX’s permanent staff families.
